Carmen & Andrew | Maternity

It’s been a busy couple of months for me! Admittedly, I am a little behind on blogging sessions.

I’ve had some great sessions with some amazing clients (I can’t stress this enough. My clients are just the best people), I’ve been acclimating to a full time job while also keeping up my photography sessions- all while planning our wedding that is in less than a month! It’s been a whirlwind but I my heart is feeling so full. I don’t know if I’m just hyper-emotional right now (who am I kidding, I’m hyper-emotional EVERY DAY) or what, but I feel so lucky to be capturing so much love for couples lately.

Carmen and Andrew came to me through mutual friends. We had a great time capturing these photos to remember the pregnancy of their precious new family member ❤

Isn’t Carmen’s flower crown (made my The Petaler Co) breathtaking? I just might have to get one for myself sometime…

Wishing this sweet couple all the best!

The Cutler Family | Jax’s first birthday!

I was SO SO SO excited to get the opportunity to work with the Cutlers again. These guys are just downright awesome. I can’t say that enough. We did their maternity photos last year (you can see them here) and we decided to do Jax’s first birthday pictures in the same locations, and I’m so glad we did!

Jax’s first birthday party theme was “indians” so, naturally…

YES, his little handkerchief does say “Little Chief”.

“Yo, I’m One”

Then we headed to the gorgeous Ruskin Oak, a beautiful and historical tree in downtown Ocean Springs to recreate more of our photos from their maternity session last year.

I think this is where you say, “I can’t even”.

Lastly, our recreation ❤

The Walker Family

When Jessica contacted me about doing a family session and we discussed her vision for location, I knew exactly where I wanted to photograph this beautiful family!

Sawyer was a little reserved about me at first (hey, if I was being followed around by a stranger with a camera, I would probably be weirded out, too. No hard feelings little man). We started by reading a little with mom.

After a little acclimating though, he started to feel more comfortable, and eventually started hamming it up for us.

After a little while he decided that running around playing with mom and dad wasn’t weird at all.

Then Aunt Lally came to hang out so we could do some photos of mom and dad together.

Then the sun started doing its thing!

Maternity, Portraits

Sara & Alex | Maternity

I know I’m a little late blogging these photos, but at least I’m getting them up before the arrival of baby A!

It was such an honor to have the opportunity to take these photos for my fellow photographer Sara and her husband Alex. These two love Ocean Springs, so we took advantage of the lovely light on east beach at sunset.

I want to wish this lovely couple all the best for the future of their family ❤

Hattie | Senior Session

I’m reeling. Still trying to figure out if this shoot was with a gorgeous senior girl, or a mermaid (I’m leaning toward mermaid).

Hattie is (obviously) quite the bombshell. On top of being beautiful, she also is a natural in front of the camera. She rocked the white lace FORLOVEANDLEMONS dress.

There’s nothing more fun for me than shooting a girl who is seriously into fashion. Hattie is going on to study business to become a fashion buyer. I think it’s safe to say she’ll be great at it!

Out & About

Photographer friends

I was so excited to meet my new friend Micah Nelson of Micah Nelson Photography! This girl is just the sweetest and we clicked immediately. She is so insightful and talking shop (& life) with her was just very refreshing. Here are some photos from our fun little adventure around downtown Ocean Springs. I’m still anxiously waiting to have some film from this day developed as well so keep an eye out for more of this pretty lady!

Out & About, Portraits

Happy December

Hey guys! I want to start off the blog post by saying how EXCITED I am to be featured on

This group has put together an amazing array of photography that’s been edited with VSCO presets/actions. They’re made to emulate traditional film and since using VSCO I’ve been COMPLETELY inspired. There is such a vast community of photographers out there with grand vision and I’m just honored to have been featured among so many amazingly talented people. Go check out the site!

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far. I know mine has been pretty fun and relaxing. I gave made sure to give myself plenty of free time around the end of the year so I could relax and spend time with friends and family. This time last year I was running around like crazy. I really wanted to be able to enjoy the season and take some photos just for me- and that’s just what I’ve been doing!

Thanksgiving is probably one of my favorite days of the entire year. All the stress that comes with gift giving (uhh.. buying) hasn’t set in yet and you can really just put your feet up and hang out with family. Here are a few of my favorites 🙂

I also took a walk with my friend Kayla around my neighborhood and took some pictures (does that sound like something high school girls do? So be it):

aaaand just a few other random snapshots! I just purchased the VSCO film presets and I’m obsessed. It’s really been the inspiration I’ve been needing lately…
