The Cutler Family | Jax’s first birthday!

I was SO SO SO excited to get the opportunity to work with the Cutlers again. These guys are just downright awesome. I can’t say that enough. We did their maternity photos last year (you can see them here) and we decided to do Jax’s first birthday pictures in the same locations, and I’m so glad we did!

Jax’s first birthday party theme was “indians” so, naturally…

YES, his little handkerchief does say “Little Chief”.

“Yo, I’m One”

Then we headed to the gorgeous Ruskin Oak, a beautiful and historical tree in downtown Ocean Springs to recreate more of our photos from their maternity session last year.

I think this is where you say, “I can’t even”.

Lastly, our recreation ❤

Sara & Alex | Maternity

I know I’m a little late blogging these photos, but at least I’m getting them up before the arrival of baby A!

It was such an honor to have the opportunity to take these photos for my fellow photographer Sara and her husband Alex. These two love Ocean Springs, so we took advantage of the lovely light on east beach at sunset.

I want to wish this lovely couple all the best for the future of their family ❤

Emily | Senior Session

I’m SO excited to finally blog this session. It seems that from the beginning it was us against the rain. The first half of our session was inside cozy Cat Island Coffee (Pass Christian Books) on a rainy day. We rescheduled the other half for a prettier day. Miraculously, it didn’t rain for the 45 minutes that we were on the beach. It drizzled right before and right after.

Emily is a super fun lady to be around. She is cute, quirky, and from the limited amount of time I’ve spent with her, I can just tell she is going places!

I have to give a huge thanks to Shaun at Cat Island for being gracious enough to let us use their beautiful shop. I’m quick to tell everyone I know (over and over again) how IN LOVE with this coffee shop I am. Everything about this place is heavenly- the honey lattes, fresh brewed tea, maple cheddar biscuits, the beautiful wrap-around porch, spiral staircase, the natural light just POURING in… I obviously could go on and on for days. I’m just so happy to have been able to hold such a fun session with a sweet girl here.

The beautiful latte art courtesy of one of my favorite baristas ever- Joe ❤

I never get tired of beach sessions. I feel like its such a clean backdrop to highlight everything about a person. I love overcast days at the beach because of the soft white light reflecting off the sand.

Emily and I thought the incorporation of the globe was so cool because she’s going to school for international studies!

2015-04-15_0013Have a great summer Emily! Good luck sweet girl!

Noel | Senior Session

I’m SO excited to show off this session with this cutie. Noel and I clicked and totally got each other’s vision. She has the cutest style, too! Happy senior year to you, girlie!

A Prima Donna Photoshoot

WE’RE BACK! Jerika Broussard, owner of Prima Donna Vintage, and I have been LONG overdue for a photo shoot. She just recently moved her boutique into a larger space. If you haven’t been to see the new store (or if you haven’t checked out Prima Donna at all) you must run, skip, jump, hop, leap- whatever you have to do to get there as soon as possible. The gorgeous wooden floors, extra space, and natural light spilling in the floor-to-ceiling windows really creates such a relaxing shopping experience and fits Prima Donna’s personality to a T.

A huge thanks to Sophie and Mary for modeling for us for this shoot! If you’ve been keeping up, you’ll see that I recently shot Sophie and Mary’s senior session. These girls were just so stylish and fun to work with I knew they’d be perfect for a Prima Donna shoot.

If you have any questions about the clothing in these photos, visit Prima Donna on Facebook and contact Jerika.

Onto the photos!
